Weekend Fun

to begin, please forgive me for not posting pictures in this post.  I am unable to locate my USB cord for my camera.  Sad times!  I’m sure we organized it away somewhere during the fun of the weekend.

This weekend we celebrated Eric’s 35th birthday.  I threw him a party on Saturday and I would say it was quite successful.  We had a great time playing rock band and eating peanut butter silk pie at midnight.  Thanks to all who came out to help us celebrate!

Indie has decided he’s done with being a little baby and it’s time to move to the next stage.  This is everything he did last week:

  • pulled himself up to standing
  • he lets go when he’s standing and attempts to balance
  • is really really good at sitting up on his own now and goes from crawling to sitting to crawling to sitting with very little weeble wobbeling
  • he’s getting his first tooth and has been amazingly chill about it.  no sleepless nights yet

Then a story about Indie:

Sunday afternoon as we were attempting to recover from all night rock band we had him in the kitchen with us.  He was hanging out in his high chair and making little high pitch noises.  Then we heard a little “Hi”  from the baby bear.  How cute is that?  I’m sure he doesn’t know what Hi means, but I’m still writing it down as Indie’s first word: Hi.  Oh social little baby!
